| Dr Patricia Justino Biography Patricia Justino is a Fellow with the Poverty and Social Policy Team at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex. Her areas of specialisation are applied microeconomics and quantitative development economics. Patricia has worked on the determinants of civil unrest in India. Other research work includes the measurement of monetary and non-monetary dimensions of inequality and their effects on social development and economic growth in Brazil and India, the measurement and modelling of poverty (static and dynamic) (India, Brazil and Vietnam), the role of social security and redistribution on economic growth (India and Vietnam) and welfare and the impact of trade liberalisation and trade reforms on household income mobility (Vietnam). She has been involved in several policy-oriented projects for the World Bank, UNDP, the UK Department for International Development and the Minority Rights Group International.
